Do you have an innovative business idea and intend to set up your own company? Do you want to learn all you need to know to get started?

In the Business Concept Module 2, you will learn how to think and act like an entrepreneur and acquire both the theoretical and practical expertise to set up and run your own company, whether it is a highly scalable start-up or your own consultancy business.

 

The 12-week programme will guide you on your entrepreneurial journey with a wide variety of experts, mostly founders with a background at FHNW.

The course in Brugg-Windisch will be held in German and is open for everyone. The number of places is limited.

This programme is part of the national Entrepreneurship Training program powered by Innosuisse, Switzerland's official innovation agency. Implemented and hosted by the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Northwestern Switzerland.

Schedule

    • Introduction to start-ups and business models

    • Getting to know the group

    • Presentation of existing ideas

    • Further development of ideas in groups

    • Development of new ideas

    • Researching target markets to identify opportunities and risks

    • Analyzing market size, growth potential and competitive landscape

    • Understanding customer needs and market trends

    • Development of strategies for successful entry into new markets

    • Evaluation of various market entry models and their advantages and disadvantages

    • Principles of lean start-up

    • Definition and creation of a minimum viable product (MVP) for rapid validation

    • Iterative development based on customer feedback

    • Identification of important roles and necessary skills in the founding team

    • Strategies for team building 

    • Choosing the right legal form and the associated steps

    • Protection of intellectual property

    • Q&A

    • Creation of a detailed financial plan and liquidity budget 

    • Methods for cost calculation and determination of break-even analysis

    • Development of pricing strategies that fit the business model

    • Presentation of various financing options (e.g., bootstrapping, business angels, venture capital)

    • Successful preparation and implementation of financing rounds

    • How much money do I need to start and where can I find it?

    • What is a pitch? 

    • Who is my audience? 

    • How do I give a convincing presentation? 

    • How can I find my way around the ecosystem as a start-up?

    • Which services are important for me? Where can I get support?
